If you are renting, in most cases, your electricity will already been connected and the deposit will have been paid by your landlord. However the landlord may request you to apply and pay the deposit. You are responsible for paying the service bills upon receipt.
The 24 hour emergency hotline is available if there are problems or enquiries about supply interruptions, planned outages, voltage fluctuations, cable damage and dangerous wiring.

Rates are one of Hong Kong’s indirect taxes (chargeable on the occupation of real property) to help finance the various public services. If your rent is exclusive of the government rate/rent, you will be billed quarterly. Upon receipt of your first invoice, fill in the change of name section on form.
